Kid-Approved, Family Favorite, Wild Turkey Recipe
Turkey Nuggets
1. Trim turkey breast of fat and connective tissue.
2. Cut turkey into approximately 1.5-inch cubes
3. Crush a box of Ritz crackers with a rolling pin in a large ziploc bag
4. Create a breading assembly line:
1. 1st bowl with the turkey
2. 2nd bowl with 1/2 cup flour, 1 tsp garlic, 1/2 tsp pepper
3. 3rd bowl 2 raw eggs scrambled with a fork
4. 4th bowl with the cracker crumbs
5. One by one, dredge turkey through the flour mixture, followed by the egg and finishing with a coating of cracker crumbs.
6. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet until you are ready to fry. You can put in the fridge at this point if you are prepping this in advance.
7. When you are ready to eat, heat up a deep frying pan half full of oil over medium/high heat (or alternately use a deep fryer set to 350F, or an electric frying pan).
8. When the oil is hot, fry turkey nuggets in batches till they are cooked through with an internal temperature of 165F.
