Ground Venison and Broccoli

Ground Venison and Broccoli

A western take on a classic American Chinese Food Dish. Ground ginger and garlic bring an authentic taste to delicious venison.

Prep Time: 5 Minutes

Cooking Time: 20 Minutes

Ingredients:

1 pound ground venison

1 tablespoon Non-Typical Lemon Pepper Seasoning

1 1/2 cups beef broth

2 tablespoons fish sauce

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon hot sauce

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon vinegar

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

2 cloves garlic, chopped or minced

1 tablespoon chopped or minced ginger

1 bag frozen broccoli 

2 tablespoons cornstarch

2 tablespoons cool water

1 teaspoon sesame oil, optional

Cooked rice or noodles

Instructions

  1. In a large pan over high heat, cook venison until pink is gone, seasoning with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and lemon pepper.

  2. While venison is cooking, mix the beef broth, fish sauce, soy sauce, honey,  vinegar, and hot sauce.

  3. When venison is finished, push to the side of the pan, add garlic and ginger, cook for about one minute. Drain venison grease if needed. 

  4. Add sauce and broccoli to the pan, bring to a boil then reduce to simmering. 

  5. Mix water and cornstarch, add to pan to thicken sauce, bringing to a boil then reducing to a simmer. Continuously stirring. Add sesame oil. 

  6. Serve with white rice or noodles.
