Pulled Venison Sandwich

Tender, savory, juicy pulled venison will have your mouth watering for these delicious Pulled Venison Sandwiches. Throw a roast in the slow cooker, fry up some onions, and save the trimmings for a tasty Au Jus. 

Prep Time: 10 Minutes

Cooking Time: 10 Minutes + Slow Cooking

 

Ingredients:

1 pound deer roast

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup beef broth

1 tablespoon minced garlic

1 tablespoon dried basil

1 small yellow onion

4 brioche buns

mayonnaise

Swiss cheese

 

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker over low heat, add deer roast, minced garlic, salt, pepper, Non-Typical Cajun spice, beef and chicken broths. Cover and cook for 6-8 hours.

  2. Once cooked, preheat oven to 400’. 

  3. While preheating, add onions and olive oil to a non-stick pan, cook over medium heat until translucent.

  4. Toast buns in oven until crispy. Add butter, mayonnaise, and cheese. 

  5. Pull apart roast with forks, add to sandwiches.

  6. Serve with roast trimmings.
