Ultimate Venison Nachos

There is no substitute for delicious ground venison when having nachos. The vegetables take this dish to the next level! Next time you pull out a bag of ground venison, make sure to set some aside for the perfect snack, lunch, or dinner. 

Prep Time: 10 Minutes

Cooking Time: 5 Minutes

Makes 6 Servings

Ingredients:

1 Pound Ground Venison

1 Garlic Clove

Non-Typical Taco Spice Mix

Corn Tortilla Chips

2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese

½ Red Pepper

½ White or Red Onion

1 Roma Tomato

1 Cup Shredded Iceberg Lettuce

Sour Cream

Salsa

Optional:

Sliced Jalapeños

Avocado

Instructions

  1. Dice vegetables, shred lettuce, shred cheese. Preheat the oven to 425’.

  2. Cook Venison and garlic, adding a generous amount of taco seasoning, salt and pepper. Set aside once browned.

  3. Lay tortilla chips evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Add one layer of venison and cheese.

  4. Lay an additional layer of tortilla chips, add onions, peppers, jalapenos, and cheese.

  5. Bake in the oven for 5-10 minutes, or until cheese is melted. 

  6. Remove from the oven, add lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, and additional venison if necessary.

  7. Serve with salsa and sour cream.
