At antler obsession, we are on a never-ending mission to forever improve the overall North American hunting experience. Being a Canadian based company our first product released is one that we have been working on since 2015, the ultimate big game supplement for Elk, Moose, and Deer living in a northern climate aka “Canada”. Trophy Mineral Mix is designed specifically for animals in a northern climate.

We looked deeply into the minerals, vitamins, and proteins these animals require to reach ultimate health and vitality. Most box store minerals boast big antlers and more deer, but we wanted to design something that would not only increase antler growth, but also body size, reproduction rate, and overall health and vitality.

Everyone loves big antlers so let's focus on that to start. Antlers are composed of primarily proteins during the growing phase, but they are also filled with minerals. Once the antlers harden in the late summer, they are roughly half protein and half minerals. Calcium, phosphorous, magnesium and sodium are the four most common minerals found in hardened antlers. Lesser amounts of other minerals found include potassium, barium, iron, aluminum, zinc, strontium and manganese. Each and every mineral plays an important role, so we made darn sure to include the appropriate portions of the minerals required.

But there are dozens of other important minerals and vitamins these animals depend on. Such as phosphorous and calcium. We found female species require high amounts of phosphorous and calcium which is required for milk production when lactating. This also helps with bone growth for growing fawns and calves, and maintaining strong bones in mature animals.

All this mineral talk you might be wondering, where the heck do vitamins fit in? Well, your mother always said “don’t forget your vitamins” well this is true for wildlife as well, especially wildlife living in a northern climate with harsh winters, droughts, or limited vegetation. Vitamins A, D, and E are the big 3 these animals rely heavily on. Vitamin D is synthesized in sufficient amounts when exposed to sunlight. Vitamin E and precursors of vitamin A are abundant in green, leafy forage. Deficiencies in these 3 vitamins are always seen during extended drought, winter, and limited vegetation areas. Vitamin E is important in immune function and in the integrity of cell membranes. Vitamin A is important in tissue differentiation and overall growth.
